Hospital Aged Care Liaison Team (HALT)
Hospital Aged Care Liaison Team will screen anyone over the age of 65years old for any extra needs they may have at home and support in discharge planning/ implementing safe discharge packages for the elderly while they are in the Emergency department.
physiotherapy
Musculoskeletal injuries/ conditions, in particular, back pain, acute sprains and strains, peripheral vertigo, respiratory physiotherapy and lots of other services.
7am to 7pm


occupational therapy
Dementia/ Delirium screening, Post traumatic Amnesia (PTA) assessment and lots of other services
8am to 4pm
Social work
Medical social workers can support patients/ families requiring social support , early pregnancy loss patients, social crisis, housing issues, domestic violence screening and support


Pharmacy
Hamish Crisp is the ED pharmacist on weekdays. He can assist with all medication inquiries and can help with reviewing patient medications, education on anti-coagulation, support with prescribing issues, queries regarding stock and there is also an active antibiotics stewardship program. After hours there is always a pharmacist on-call for urgent pharmacy requests. LGH is currently implementing a pharmacy prescribing program
